View postcard "Russian Memorial Church Leipzig"

The Russian Memorial Church is located in the south of Leipzig, adjacent to the Friedenspark. It is definitely striking with the golden domes and the interesting construction. The church is a free replica of the Resurrection Church in Moscow-Kolomenskoje, built between 1530 and 1532, and serves to commemorate the 22,000 Russian soldiers who died in and around Leipzig during the Battle of Nations in 1813.
